Job summary

UCHealth in Fort Collins seeks a Regional Lab Director to manage daily department operations and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The role is onsite, with days schedule and a competitive hourly pay range.

You will oversee staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and vendor relationships, while ensuring high-quality laboratory services across the network. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and graduation from an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist program.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by AMT or MT/MLS by ASCP, or categorical ASCP certification in a lab specialty; state licensure if required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the department to align with organizational goals.
• Manage staff relations including performance management, scheduling, payroll, and student engagements.
• Monitor budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relations; justify needs for systems/equipment and stock.
• Coordinate services with staff, medical offices, and external laboratories; act as Director in their absence.
• Apply critical thinking and decisive judgement; work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
