Job summary

ALS is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician (P2) in the Sample Preparation Department. You will work with client samples and prepare them for analysis in our labs.

You will perform ringing, sieving, crushing, and other preparatory tasks under supervision, maintain logs, and help keep the lab clean and safe. This role requires basic English, good hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to work independently or in a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Good hand-eye coordination required.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic alpha/numeric comprehension.
• Basic English communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Ringing, sieving, crushing, and splitting under direct supervision.
• Loading and unloading drying ovens under supervision.
• Maintain own production logs.
• General cleaning duties for basic lab cleanliness.
• May assist with layout tasks.
• Handling compositing, screen metallics, special handling requests.
• Inspecting equipment and report adjustments.
• Analytical quality.
• Observe established safety regulations and comply with ALS health and safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
