Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Safety, or related field; biology or chemistry with relevant experience considered.
• 5–7 years of EH&S experience, preferably in a laboratory setting.
• ASP or CSP strongly preferred; OSHA Authorized Trainer in General Industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, NYS DEC, DOT).
• Knowledge of biosafety, ergonomics, and risk management in corporate environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate enterprise-wide health and safety initiatives.
• Lead Laboratory Safety Program and act as SME for lab safety.
• Oversee chemical hygiene and radiation safety programs.
• Manage safety inspections, audits, and regulatory documentation.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Track safety metrics and ensure regulatory compliance.
