Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a senior leader to guide quality management and compliance across the medical laboratory services. You will drive strategy alignment with regulatory requirements, coach teams, and oversee competency programs to enhance service quality and patient safety.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional projects, ensuring adherence to accreditation standards, and coordinating with external partners to implement process improvements across testing and training

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of leadership experience in a healthcare-related field.
• Bachelor's degree in medical lab science or health care related field with minimum six years of experience in medical technology, clinical laboratory sciences, or health care field OR nine years of experience in medical technology/health care field.
• Specialist Certification in Histology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides developmental opportunities, builds cross-functional relationships, and coaches staff to drive performance improvement.
• Manages designated work unit or team by translating plans into action, ensuring policy adherence and progress measurement.
• Maintains testing and training standards including competency assessment and ongoing training programs.
• Maintains compliance and accreditation by aligning with regulations, renewing licensure, and documenting processes.
• Links medical laboratory services with other services, coordinating with stakeholders and external partners to align standards and utilization.
• Ensures operations improve patient safety, service quality, and cost-effectiveness across the continuum of care.
• Manages service quality by implementing corrective and preventive actions based on quality audits and proficiency testing.
