Job summary

Luminis Health in Lanham, MD, seeks a laboratory supervisor to oversee operations of the designated lab area, ensuring adherence to technical, regulatory and quality standards.

You will lead staff, schedule tasks, participate in performance evaluations, and coordinate training, safety, and quality improvement while maintaining equipment, inventory and SOPs to support accurate test results and compliant workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with ASCP eligibility/certification.
• MLS/MT/HT/ASCP certification preferred.
• Two years of acute care lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operations of the designated laboratory area.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to staff; schedule tasks.
• Oversee quality control and regulatory compliance (CAP, CLIA, etc.).
• Maintain SOPs, safety training, and audits; participate in improvements.
• Manage equipment, supplies, and inventory; monitor spend.
• Support tests with accurate recording and reporting of results.
