Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Lexington, VA, is hiring a Laboratory Manager to lead the laboratory with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a pay range of $88,550 to $159,050 per year.

The position requires eight years of laboratory experience with at least four years in supervision, a valid CLS license (CA), and strong leadership, budgetary and regulatory skills. Eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years laboratory experience with at least four years of direct supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory.
• CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist license required (California only).
• ASCP certification preferred; leadership and regulatory knowledge expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all technical and operational activities in the laboratory.
• Mentor staff, implement training, and ensure supervisory skill development.
• Define and monitor quality assurance programs and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee staffing, budgeting, and procurement for lab resources.
• Drive process improvements and maintain accurate test databases.
• Coordinate R&D activities related to operations and participate in committees.
