Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories seeks an experienced laboratory operations leader to oversee day-to-day hospital and clinical lab functions, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with hospital leadership. The role includes serving as the CLIA General Supervisor designee and performing bench duties as needed to support service levels.

The position requires supervision of staff, budgeting, quality control, and coordination with Medical Directors and Quality teams to achieve performance goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical technology or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in biological, chemical, or laboratory sciences or equivalent.
• Completion of an official US military medical laboratory training course of at least 50 weeks duration and having held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day to day management and operation of a hospital laboratory, cancer center laboratory, or clinical laboratory and associated services.
• Represents the laboratory in hospital leadership activities and to commercial clients.
• Ensures laboratory services meet patient care, operational, regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Serves as the CLIA General Supervisor designee and performs bench duties as needed.
