Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories seeks a Laboratory Scientist II to perform advanced lab procedures and coordinate cross-shift workflows at Rust Hospital. You will work with pathologists and supervisors to ensure quality patient care and compliance during routine and on-call rotations.

The role emphasizes training staff, QC/QA oversight, and cooperation with other departments to resolve technical issues and optimize laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience or lead responsibilities on shift
• ASCP or AMT certification (BB/CG) preferred or required
• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or related field with appropriate clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Performs all functions of a Laboratory Scientist II with high technical skill and accuracy
• Serve as shift supervisor as needed and directed; facilitate workflow and staffing
• Participate in QC/QA tracking and document problems and solutions
• Oversee quality control checks of equipment and instruments
• Assist in inspections and prepare checklists; coordinate with pathologists and supervisors
