Job summary

MountainView Regional Medical Center seeks a Lab Supervisor to coordinate and oversee laboratory operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role manages staffing, scheduling, training, QC, and collaboration with nursing and physicians, while also performing testing as needed.

The Supervisor monitors financial performance, supports process improvements, and maintains a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a science field and 1–2 years of related experience.
• Leadership experience is preferred (1–2 years).
• Certification/licensure as applicable to clinical laboratory oversight.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily lab operations including staffing, scheduling, workflow, and supplies.
• Supervise test procedures, QC, proficiency testing, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead staff development, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor equipment and preventive maintenance; escalate issues as needed.
• Support financial oversight by monitoring costs and waste reduction.
• Foster collaboration with clinical teams and maintain safety.
