Job summary

Advanced Urology Institute is seeking a Laboratory Administrative Director to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day laboratory operations, staffing, equipment, safety, and quality assurance. The role includes interpreting complex microbiological tests and ensuring adherence to CAP, CLIA, HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree (preferably microbiology/health sciences), and at least five years in lab roles with two years in supervision. Travel is not emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in microbiology, medical terminology, or health sciences.
• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory preferred.
• Minimum five years experience in laboratory roles, including two years in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversees purchasing, budgeting, and inventory management for the laboratory.
• Directs staff activities, training, and scheduling; handles grievances and performance management.
• Ensures compliance with CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains equipment and quality control procedures; develops new lab procedures and processes.
