Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical or biologic science, medical technology or clinical laboratory science is required.
• 3–5 years of progressive responsibility is required.
• Demonstrated leadership, technical proficiency and knowledge to coordinate lab work.
• Certification at technologist level (ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS or HEW) preferred.
• Working knowledge of statistics and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily laboratory operations including staff scheduling and assignments.
• Assist staff and leaders to meet customer expectations using quality management techniques.
• Maintain employee records: attendance, work assignments, performance, proficiency testing, competency.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance programs records.
• Coordinate validation of new methods, instruments and software.
• On-board new employees and coordinate training for residents, fellows, and students.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, safety, and regulatory requirements.
