Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Laboratory Assistant Coordinator to support the Laboratory Desk and Reception Area, coordinating specimen procurement and ensuring efficient workflow in a hospital laboratory setting.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and solid computer skills to manage specimens and results, while collaborating with hospitals, physicians, and reference laboratories.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Good computer skills, detail oriented, and well organized.
• Ability to use computer to enter and locate specimens and test results.

Responsibilities

• Support the efficient organization and effectiveness of the Laboratory Specimen Desk and Reception Area.
• Interface between hospitals, hospital departments, physicians, medical offices and reference laboratories.
• Answer questions regarding specimen collection, time elements and testing results; obtain blood specimens and provide quality service.
