Job summary

Huntsville Hospital seeks a detail-oriented clerical coordinator to support nursing home operations under the Laboratory Manager. You will schedule and collect samples, manage offsite site staffing, handle registration, order entry, printing, charting, mailing, faxing and filing of reports.

The role requires strong verbal communication, basic numerical skills, reliable form perception and dexterity, and a commitment to accurate billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years clerical experience.
• Ability to communicate with patients and clients.
• Accurate data entry and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clerical functions for nursing homes: scheduling, collection, registration, order entry, charting, mailing, faxing and filing reports.
• Assure accurate charges and billing information.
• Supervise or train clerical staff; ensure charts submitted to coder in a timely manner.
• Accessioning of Pathology/Cytology specimens; handle reporting and documentation tasks.
