HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital is seeking a Lab Section Coordinator to provide expertise and champion results in a busy clinical laboratory. The role involves coordinating both technical and non-technical tasks, ensuring quality control, equipment maintenance, and regulatory readiness across the department to support patient care and organizational goals.

The ideal candidate has 2-year science/MT training and a Florida technologist license or ability to obtain one, with 3–5 years as a Medical

Qualifications

• 2-year Associate’s Degree in Science or related field.
• 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• State of Florida Technologist license or ability to obtain.
• 3–5 years as a Medical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of technical and/or non-technical functions of the department on assigned shifts under supervision.
• Perform technical and non-technical duties in assigned areas including specimen collection, processing, and referral testing.
• Coordinate quality control, equipment maintenance, personnel training, regulatory inspection preparation, and scheduling.
• Support the Department Manager/Director in achieving goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction, and inter-departmental cooperation.

Education

Associate’s Degree in Science/Post Graduate Degree

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology preferred
