Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee technical and scientific operations in our busy laboratory, ensuring high-quality, timely testing and continual improvement of services. You will lead a team of professionals, provide clinical support, and drive quality and safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds MT/CLS certification, a Bachelor's in Laboratory Science, and at least 7 years of high-complexity lab experience, with strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Certification as MT (ASCP), CLS, or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology is required.
• General knowledge of all Laboratory functions is required.
• Minimum 7 years full time laboratory experience in high complexity testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Technical and scientific oversight of the laboratory.
• Perform tests and assure quality and timeliness of testing.
• Encourage an ongoing program of improvement of Laboratory services.
• Provide technical consultation for each of the specialties/sub specialties in the laboratory including respiratory dept.
• Provide support and be a clinical resource for staff.
