Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Section Supervisor of Laboratory to lead a laboratory section, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high-quality patient care. The role emphasizes leadership, integrity, and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning performance improvement, staffing, and resource management.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree and MLS/MLT/HASCP certification options with at least 4 years of leadership experience in a clinical lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MLS/MLT/H-ASCP or state licensure as appropriate for Hematology.
• 4 years of laboratory supervisory or leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the laboratory section to ensure procedures are performed, recorded, and reported with excellent customer service.
• Uphold CAP, CLIA, FDA, OSHA, AABB standards and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate personnel using established job descriptions and evaluations.
• Oversee operations with a focus on safety, quality, and performance improvement.
• Manage human and supply resources within targets to ensure availability and responsiveness.
• Communicate effectively with staff and diverse audiences to maintain high performance.
