Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist for Lab IT & Systems Support in Foster City, CA. The role supports laboratory computing environments, instrument-connected systems, and software deployment, coordinating with LIS, Digital & Data, Facilities, and vendors to ensure compliant operations.

Minimum 5 years in lab IT environments and a Bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering/CS are required. Onsite work, strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting laboratory computing environments or scientific instrumentation.
• Experience in regulated laboratory environments such as biotech or pharma is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary operational liaison between Technical Development laboratories and IT partners.
• Support laboratory computing environments, instrument-connected systems, and software deployment.
• Coordinate OS updates, security patching, and compliance activities for lab tech.
• Provide end-user support to enable scientific operations and resolve issues.
• Maintain CMDB records and laboratory technology inventories.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, standards, and procedures.
