Job summary

Artech L.L.C. in Foster City, CA, seeks a Senior Specialist, Laboratory IT & Systems Support to serve as the primary liaison between Technical Development laboratories and IT partners, enabling secure, compliant, and efficient scientific operations.

You will manage lab computers and instrument-connected workstations, coordinate deployments, maintain CMDB inventories, support instrument software, and drive continuous improvement of laboratory technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in IT/Engineering/CS.
• 5+ years supporting laboratory computing environments or scientific instrumentation.
• Experience in regulated laboratory environments (biotech/pharma).
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-service mindset.
• Experience coordinating with instrument vendors and enterprise IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle activities for laboratory computers and instrument-connected workstations.
• Coordinate deployments, replacements, upgrades, and retirement activities.
• Maintain CMDB records and laboratory technology inventories.
• Coordinate OS patches, security and compliance activities.
• Support laboratory instrument software and connectivity requirements.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and laboratory operation issues.
• Coordinate network ports and infrastructure requests for instruments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science
