Job summary

ARUP Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Education Specialist to create and maintain in-house training programs for corporate and department learning needs, including onboarding new employees to ARUP. The role coordinates laboratory rotation needs for students and fellowship participants across technical divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or better in Other: See Notes or related field.
• Bachelor's Degree or better in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or related field.
• Master's Degree or better in Education or related field.
• MLS(ASCP) / MT(ASCP) or Specialty Certification or Teaching Certificate
• Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database and e-mail applications)
• Experience using the Cornerstone LEaP (Learning, Education and Performance) software system

Responsibilities

• Gains and maintains knowledge of current training, competency, and continuing education requirements of federal, state, local governments, and other accrediting and licensure bodies.
• Meets with employees at all stages of their career at ARUP to ensure compliance with corporate and job specific requirements.
• Develops, implements and manages education strategies, interventions and programs for assigned divisions/departments.
• Teaches and trains individuals throughout ARUP, including but not limited to university students involved in laboratory rotations and new hires.
• Teaches and/or assists with managing courses taught at a college or university including developing and updating materials, grading exams, running review sessions and troubleshooting Canvas.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or better in Other: See Notes or related field.
