Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Lab Training Lead for the Carolinas Medical Center Administration: Lab Acute Care in Charlotte, onsite. The role emphasizes teaching, onboarding new teammates, and maintaining QA-compliant testing procedures.

The ideal candidate has lead/trainer experience, blood bank background, and a Bachelor’s degree with laboratory experience; some travel may be required. Day shift; on-site work required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; laboratory experience preferred.
• At least 2 years in a laboratory setting; 5 years preferred.
• MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), M(ASCP), MB(ASCP), HTL(ASCP) or CT(ASCP) certifications preferred/required as appropriate to perform clinical testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead training of students and teammates; document training.
• Design and deliver standard training resources.
• Onboard new teammates inclusively and collaboratively.
• Ensure competency assessments meet accreditation requirements.
• Maintain shift communications with leadership regarding issues affecting patient care.
