Job summary

LCH Lab. Corp. of America Holdings in Burlington, NC seeks an experienced laboratory professional to support daily lab operations and supervise staff.

You will help manage testing workflows, ensure accurate reporting, and participate in training for new hires while maintaining quality control and safety standards. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science and 6+ years of lab testing experience, with leadership capability and familiarity with laboratory information

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/biological sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 6+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• ASCP and/or AMT certifications preferred.
• 6+ months of supervising or leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor with day-to-day operations of the department/lab.
• Send daily, weekly and monthly production reports to management.
• Assist with training of new hires and development of current employees.
• Keep supervisor informed of group progress, problems and employee performance.
• Determine acceptability of specimens for testing according to criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper functionality.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
