Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Director of Laboratory to oversee the clinical laboratory's administrative, fiscal, and technical operations, ensuring quality control and regulatory compliance across CAP, AABB, JCAHO, and CLIA standards. You will lead staffing, training, and performance metrics to align with hospital goals.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, fiscal accountability, and collaboration with hospital leadership to drive laboratory excellence and patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in Chemistry, Biology or Physical Science with High Complexity CLIA requirements.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a closely related field with Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administrative, fiscal, and technical activities of the clinical laboratory to ensure efficient operation and compliance with policies.
• Maintain quality control and quality assurance programs, and manage point-of-care testing within the laboratory.
• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate laboratory work and personnel, including hiring and staff development.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with CAP, AABB, Joint Commission, CLIA, and other applicable standards.
