Job summary

The Director, Laboratory at Jefferson Memorial oversees a broad range of administrative, fiscal, and clinical activities to ensure efficient operations, strong quality control, and compliance with CAP, AABB, JCAHO and CLIA regulations. You will lead staffing, payroll, training, and performance improvement initiatives in partnership with hospital leadership.

This role emphasizes strategic planning, budgeting, and technology evaluation to maintain high standards of patient care and laboratory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Physical Science per CLIA High Complexity.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a closely related field with Bachelor's degree.
• 3–5 years’ leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical laboratory operations and staffing.
• Ensure quality control, QA, and compliance with CAP, AABB, JCAHO, CLIA.
• Direct budgeting, staffing, and strategic planning for the department.
• Collaborate with other hospital departments to improve services.
• Promote education and professional development for laboratory staff.
