Job summary

Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest is seeking a Laboratory Services Coordinator to coordinate specimen processing and LIS data entry. The role includes a high volume of administrative duties within the laboratory and ensuring accurate data entry for test requisitions and results.

The ideal candidate will have strong written communication and interpersonal skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years experience in a laboratory or healthcare environment preferred.
• Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) or practice management systems required.
• Data entry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-volume data entry of test requests and results into LIS.
• Log daily lab room temperature and compile monthly reports for management.
• Receive, accession, batch, file, store and retrieve specimens as needed.
• Collaborate with Case Management to resolve sample issues and document follow-up.
