Job summary

Catalyx is a machine vision and automation company seeking a Lab Technician to support day-to-day lab operations, troubleshoot automated systems, and improve workflows. The role emphasizes laboratory environments and technical support, not manufacturing.

Responsibilities include supporting automation systems, troubleshooting instruments, configuring and maintaining setups, and collaborating with scientists, engineers, IT, and other teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical support or laboratory technology experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting laboratory automation or automated laboratory equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments, systems, and software.
• Experience with system integration, scripting, or automation technologies is highly desirable.
• Ability to work directly in a laboratory environment and support end users.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Comfortable working in an L2 support capacity with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for laboratory automation systems, equipment, and workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving automated lab instruments and integrated systems.
• Support automation setup, configuration, testing, and maintenance.
• Assist with system integrations and connectivity between laboratory instruments and software.
• Identify opportunities to improve lab workflows through automation and technology.
• Document troubleshooting activities, configurations, procedures, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with laboratory scientists, engineers, IT, and other technical teams.
• Escalate complex issues when necessary and support root-cause analysis.
