Job summary

Catalyx is seeking an L2 Lab Technician with a strong IT background to provide technical support for laboratory systems, equipment, software, and users. The role focuses on keeping lab technology reliable and operational, with emphasis on troubleshooting and hands-on support in the lab environment.

Responsibilities include supporting lab IT systems and equipment, diagnosing issues, configuring instruments, and collaborating with IT, engineering, and lab teams to resolve incidents.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT support or technical support experience.
• Experience in lab, research, or scientific environments preferred.
• Familiarity with computers, networks, connectivity, and lab equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 technical support for laboratory IT systems, equipment, and applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and system issues within the lab.
• Support laboratory instruments and their connections to computers, networks, and other systems.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot lab-related technology.
• Work directly with laboratory users to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Assist with user accounts, system access, software, and endpoint support as needed.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, configurations, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with laboratory, IT, engineering, and other technical teams.
• Escalate complex technical issues and assist with root-cause analysis.
