Job summary

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Assistant in Hillside, IL to support the lab manager and analysts. Responsibilities include receiving, logging, and quality checking samples, plus shipping, reporting, and data entry. The role requires strong MS Office skills and good client communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work in a busy laboratory environment.
• Experience with data entry and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Receive environmental samples and log them with Chain of Custody in LIMS.
• Review paperwork for completeness and accuracy of incoming samples.
• Perform quality control to maintain sample integrity.
• Coordinate and perform shipping/receiving and administration tasks.
• Generate reports and client-ready invoices from analysts’ data.
• Communicate with clients and laboratory staff to answer questions.
