Responsibilities

• Processes laboratory specimens, including centrifuging, labeling, and aliquoting.
• Performs patient phlebotomy and verifies patient identification.
• Performs patient reception and registration duties, along with ordering per policies.
• Uses pneumatic tube system for specimen receipt and distribution.
• Delivers specimens to appropriate departments and loads them onto automated systems.
• Monitors and resolves conflicts in phlebotomy and processing services, escalating when needed.
• Performs a limited menu of waived laboratory tests.
