Responsibilities

• Processes laboratory specimens including centrifuging, pipetting, labeling, and aliquoting for testing.
• Performs patient phlebotomy on patients of all ages according to policy.
• Performs patient reception and registration duties and handles ordering per written policies.
• Uses pneumatic tube system for specimen receipt and distribution of blood components.
• Delivers specimens to appropriate departments and loads into automated sample management systems.
• Adheres to safety and quality standards and participates in mandatory training and competency testing.
