Job summary

Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, FL is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II – Blood Bank to join our fast-paced hospital laboratory. You will handle specimen processing, labeling, and testing workflows while delivering compassionate patient-focused service.

This role requires at least two years of lab or patient care experience, with high school diploma or GED. Current students may substitute education for up to two years, and no licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, centrifuge, label, and prepare specimens for testing
• Register patients and enter laboratory orders into hospital systems
• Transport and store laboratory samples and materials
• Maintain laboratory supplies and equipment
• Support specimen processing, billing, scheduling, and reference testing workflows
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, providers, and team members
• Assist with pathology specimens and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment
• Train team members as needed and support departmental operations

What You’ll Do
