Hourly Pay Range
$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Laboratory Assistant I
• Location: Evanston Hospital
• Full Time
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:30pm-7am, e/o weekend and rotating holidays

What You Will Do

• Triage, accession, and process non-gynecologic, gynecologic, and FNA specimen
• Assist with quality control processes and procedures to assure that instruments and reagents meet the required standard of performance
• Perform clerical and service tasks such as answering phone inquiries from nursing staff and physicians and providing results data as required
• Maintain a safe work environment by using required protective devices and handling biohazardous materials and chemicals according to established protocols
• Participate in inventory management
• Promote patient satisfaction and customer service, treating patients with respect and care, and encouraging coworkers to do the same
