Job description

Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32. The hourly pay rate is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Lab Assistant I
• Location: Evanston Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

What you will do:

• Triage cytology specimens: gross specimen and accession specimen
• Process gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens using various processing and staining techniques
• Provide customer support as a technical liaison for inquiries in the cytology laboratory
• Support specimen send outs by completing patient sample requests
• Maintain a clean laboratory station and work with the team to manage inventory, logs, equipment functions, and troubleshoot issues with the supervisor

What you will need:

• Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferably in science
• Certification: Not applicable
• Experience: Not required
• Preferred Skills: Laboratory experience is a plus
