Tower Health’s Reading Hospital Laboratory seeks a Lab Assistant to handle specimen receipt, registration, order entry and labeling in the lab information system. This role requires maintaining accuracy due to direct impact on patient care and working independently to meet deadlines.

The position involves handling calls, filing, and document management, plus instrument maintenance and basic troubleshooting as needed. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficient in medical terminology and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Receive, register, enter orders, and label large volumes of specimens in the appropriate system.
• Resolve specimen submission issues.
• Manage high volumes of phone calls, filing, and distribution of patient information.
