• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills essential.
• Proficiency with computers and MS Office; familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Process receipt, registration, order entry and labeling of specimens in the computer system.
• Resolve specimen submission issues and manage high volumes of calls and paperwork.
• Maintain logs and scan documents into the EMR.
• Operate and perform basic troubleshooting on departmental instruments.
• Assist with esoteric test requests and specimen handling for procedures like FNA or biopsy.
• Ensure accuracy as it directly impacts patient care.
• Work independently to organize tasks and meet deadlines.
