Position: Laboratory Assistant

Responsibilities:

1. Provide phlebotomy expertise, decision making, and problem-solving skills based on in-depth knowledge of phlebotomy procedures.
2. Coordinate the collection, receipt in computer, processing, and delivery of patient specimens for tests performed by the laboratory.
3. Perform microbiology specimen processing.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program or at least one year of proven experience in a hospital, reference laboratory, or physician office laboratory.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Proficiency in the utilization of personal computers.
