Job Duties
  • Assist in inventory control, ordering supplies, maintaining, cleaning, supplying, and decontaminating benches and equipment.
  • Ensure specimens are triaged to other labs or sent out for analysis.
  • Complete record logs and perform administrative duties to support efficient workflow.
  • Maintain cleanliness of laboratory areas and equipment.
  • Follow all SOPs, guidelines, practices, and regulations.
  • Assist staff with ordering, restocking supplies, and data entry.
  • Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Preferred Criteria
  • Some college or technical courses.
  • Laboratory processing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Criteria
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Perform clerical and typing services.
  • Greet outpatients, process blood requisitions, and direct patients.
  • Manage mail, correspondence, and other materials.
  • Answer telephones, route callers, and communicate effectively.
  • Manage inventory and reorder supplies as necessary.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and maintain records.
  • Classify, sort, and file documents.
  • Perform clerical tasks like photocopying and deliver reports.
Position Qualifications
  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • 1 year of clerical experience preferred.
  • Typing speed: 45 wpm.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • English proficiency; second language is a plus.
