Responsibilities:

  • Provides phlebotomy expertise, decision making, and problem solving skills based on in-depth knowledge of phlebotomy procedures.
  • Coordinates the collection, receipt in computer, processing, and delivery of patient specimens for tests performed by the laboratory.
  • Performs microbiology specimen processing.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program or one year of proven experience in a hospital, reference, or physician office lab required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and proficiency in the utilization of personal computer skills.
