Responsibilities

• Assist with a variety of laboratory procedures, including receiving, preparing, and performing tests as allowed.
• Practice positive patient identification and maintain good communication with patients and staff.
• Manage department workflow, process specimens, and perform routine laboratory testing following policies.
• Evaluate and release test results under supervision, handle external lab testing, and maintain equipment and supply records.
• May perform phlebotomy and assist with training, adhering to quality standards.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS-CPR certification within 90 days of hire
• Excellent customer service and time management skills

Preferred:

• 6 months experience in an acute care facility
• Lab Assistant and/or Phlebotomy certification
