Job summary

Inotiv is seeking a Team Leader to guide and develop Animal Care Technicians, oversee daily tasks, and ensure compliance with welfare regulations. The role requires strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities, with attention to safety and quality standards.

The position involves direct supervision of production, shipping duties, and training, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and teamwork in a facility that upholds animal welfare priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced education in Animal Science or Business preferred
• Prior leadership experience
• 1-3 years' experience in Animal Care / PSS

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day workload for assigned teams and training technicians to meet production goals
• Direct and train technicians on relevant techniques and information
• Ensure procedures comply with Animal Welfare regulations, AALAC, ISO 9001, IACUC
• Provide coaching and real-time feedback on employee performance
• Oversee room, colony and technician performance optimization and shipping duties
• Maintain production worksheets and colony manager records
• Promote safety, trust, respect, and collaboration within the team
