Job summary

EMSL Analytical, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Full Time Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry). No laboratory experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided. The role involves handling environmental lead samples and performing analyses using Flame AA and ICP, with reports entered into LIMS.

The position offers full-time hours, M-F 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), paid time off, holiday pay, and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related science is required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• 0 to 1 years' experience in a lab with FLAA and/or ICP is a plus but not required.
• Ability to distinguish colors to perform analysis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude.
• Effective time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task with minimal assistance.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and digestion of environmental lead samples: paint, soil, wipes and cassettes by Flame AA.
• Preparation and analysis of samples using ICP.
• Laboratory environment requires care when handling acids, solvents, and other reagents.
• Generate analytical reports and enter data into the LIMS system.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
• Perform quality control practices per QA/QC manual.
• Administrative duties: sample login, data entry, scanning and emailing reports, answering phones.
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager.

EMSL is currently seeking a Full Time Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry) in Indianapolis, IN. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
