Job summary

EMSL is seeking a Full Time Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry) in Indianapolis, IN. No laboratory experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided. The role involves prep and digestion of samples, analysis using Flame AA and ICP, and data entry into the LIMS system.

Responsibilities include report generation, equipment upkeep, QA/QC practices, and some administrative duties. Shift is Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related science is required.
• 0 to 1 years' lab experience with FLAA and/or ICP is a plus but not required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Ability to distinguish colors to perform analysis.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with self-motivation and a positive attitude.
• Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and digestion of environmental lead samples by Flame AA.
• Prepare and analyze samples using ICP.
• Handle acids, solvents, and reagents safely in a lab environment.
• Generate analytical reports and enter data into the LIMS system.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
• Perform quality control procedures per QA/QC manual.
• Complete administrative duties including sample login, data entry, and report emailing.
