EMSL Analytical, Inc. seeks a Laboratory Analyst II (Chemistry) in Indianapolis, IN to join a fast-paced environmental chemistry lab. The role requires three years of hands-on experience and a Bachelor's degree in a chemical or physical science.

You will prepare and analyze samples across water, air, soil, and solids, following established SOPs and QC procedures. You will operate GC, GC-MS, HPLC, and XRDM instruments, perform data calculations, and compile results for validation.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or physical science field.
• Minimum three years of hands-on environmental chemistry experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Experience with GC, GC-MS, HPLC, and/or XRDM instrumentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented lab environment.
• Proficient with basic computer tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and analyze samples to quantify chemical and physical properties in water, air, soil, and solids.
• Follow SOPs, QC procedures, and data validation for analytical methods.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Perform pipetting, volumetric measurements, and use analytical balances.
• Calculate, convert, and compile data for reporting.

EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Analyst II (Chemistry) in Indianapolis, IN. Ideal candidate must have three years hands on experience in environmental chemistry.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze samples to quantitatively measure chemical and physical properties in a variety of matrices: water, air, soil, and/or solidsFamiliarity with EPA, NIOSH, OSHA, and/or other potential methodologiesUnderstanding of ISO 17025, NELAC, AIHA and/or other state accreditation program requirementsFollow standard operating procedures, quality control procedures, and data validation established for each analytical methodOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical equipment and instrumentsPerform basic chemistry tasks such as pipetting, performance of volumetric measurements and the utilization of analytical balancesPerform calculations and conversions, and compile the data obtainedBe comfortable in a laboratory setting involving the use laboratory grade acids, solvents and other reagents that require care in use and when handlingRequirements:Bachelors in a chemical or physical science field of studyAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely and without restriction or sponsorshipThree years' prior experience in a commercial production laboratoryExperience with one or more of the following instruments: GC, GC-MS, HPLC, and/or XRDMust be able to work in a fast-paced setting, be able to multi-task and prioritize assignmentMust be able to work independently and with a teamMust be concise, organized, and meticulous regarding work assignmentsKnowledge of basic computer skills such Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is requiredFlexibility to work alternate hours and overtime may be required to meet business demandsAvailable Shift:Position is full-time Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Indianapolis, IN are encouraged to apply.EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending account.
