Job summary

Onterris seeks an Analyst I in Denver, CO to support multiple laboratory projects and learn instrument operation alongside experienced chemists. You will perform hands-on analytical work, translate data into meaningful results, and contribute to routine lab operations.

The role emphasizes following established procedures, data accuracy, and collaboration within a production lab environment, with an expected 12pm–8pm schedule.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Chemistry or a closely related science.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience gained through real world or undergraduate coursework experiences.
  • Familiarity with EPA 8260, 8015, 8270 Methods is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory best practices.
  • Ability to follow written procedures accurately and consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Effective communication, organization, and time‑management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with operation and routine maintenance within the laboratory.
  • Process and interpret data using acquisition and processing software.
  • Prepare calibration standards.
  • Use basic laboratory equipment such as micro‑syringes, balances, and pipettes.
  • Work closely with GC‑FID instruments.
  • Enter and access data within a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Evaluate instrument performance and report irregularities.
  • Assist with drafting and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow all Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and laboratory policies.
  • Support additional laboratory tasks as needed.

A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life As an Analyst I in Denver, CO, you will support multiple laboratory projects while working alongside experienced analysts and chemists. You'll spend most of your time performing hands‑on analytical work, learning instrument operation, analyzing mass spec chromatograms, and contributing to routine laboratory operations under established procedures.This Analyst I role is designed for you if you enjoy working with analytical instruments, following structured procedures, and translating data into meaningful results, this role will give you a strong foundation for a career in analytical laboratory work.

The hourly compensation range for this role is $23.00 to $27.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Schedule: 12pm - 8pm

  • Assisting with the operation and routine maintenance within the laboratory

Your Expertise and Skills

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
