Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Full-Time Analyst in our Denver, CO Laboratory. You will prep, handle, analyze samples, keep accurate records, and maintain a clean lab to support on-time results. You will collaborate with a committed team and grow your expertise in a dynamic, quality-driven environment.

The compensation range is $22.00 to $26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Schedule: 10:00am - 8:30pm, Sunday to Wednesday, 4 x 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in science.
• 2+ years GCMS in environmental lab.
• Attention to detail; multitask well.
• Proficient with analytical equipment (balances, pipettes, glassware).
• Experience with GC-MS using Agilent Chemstation/MassHunter.
• Experience with Varian Archon Purge & Trap Autosamplers or Xylem/OI Analytical Concentrators.
• Flexible schedule, including Saturdays; overtime ok.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze solvent extracts for semi-volatile pollutants by GC-MS.
• Review data and assemble reports.
• Calibrate, maintain and repair instruments.
• Prepare standards; maintain reagents and inventory.
• Mentor Lab Technicians and Analyst I’s.

A Day in the Life

As a Full-Time Analyst based in our Denver, CO Laboratory , you’ll step into the lab where every detail matters. You’ll play a key role in prepping, handling, analyzing samples, keeping records accurate, and maintaining a clean laboratory to support on-time results everyday. You’ll collaborate with a strong team of committed professionals, contribute to meaningful scientific work, and grow your expertise in a dynamic, quality-driven environment.

The compensation range for this role is $22.00 to $26.00 , commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Schedule: 10:00am - 8:30pm Sunday - Wednesday. 4 - 10 hour shifts

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

• Analyze solvent extracts for semi-volatile organic pollutants by GC-MS analysis

• Review data and assemble reports

• Calibrate, maintain and repair instrument

• Prepare standards

• Maintain reagents and supplies inventory and order replacements

• Keep workstation clean and organized

• Mentor Lab Technicians and Analyst I’s

• Performs analyst’s review of data and QC

• Reviews of QA/QC criteria for batch acceptance

• Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and follow safe work practices

• Participates in instruments’ preventative maintenance and trouble shooting

• Participates in focus teams to improve efficiency

• Be flexible in work schedule including overtime when needed

• React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

• Performing other duties and responsibilities as prescribed by the Company

• Compliance with our Quality Assurance Program and other policies

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.

• BA/BS in science

• 2+ years of GCMS experience in an environmental lab

• Position requires attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and a desire to worth both as part of a team and independently

• Proficiency using analytical equipment including: balances, pipettes, bottle top dispensers, hot blocks, and volumetric/graduated glassware.

• Experience with GC-MS analysis, preferably with Agilent hardware and software (Chemstation/MassHunter). Hands-on instrument maintenance experience is also highly desirable.

• Ideal candidates have experience with Varian Archon Purge and Trap Autosamplers and/or Xylem/OI Analytical Sample Concentrators.

• Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety

• Must be flexible in work schedule (including Saturday) and able to work overtime

• Well organized and have an attention to detail

• Able to multi-task

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
