Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a temporary assignment of about 10+ months. You will assist multiple projects, coordinate with staff, regulatory agencies and clients, and support laboratory operations.

The role includes preparing samples and reagents, while maintaining accurate records and complying with QA and safety plans. The position requires a high school diploma or GED (scientific degree preferred), strong analytical and numerical skills, and the ability to perform

A Day in the Life

As an Laboraatory Technician (temporary assignment for 10-/+ months), you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $18.00 to $20.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

  • Preparation of samples for analysis
  • Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment
  • Sample preparation
  • Determining the volume of samples
  • Cleaning of laboratory glassware
  • Maintaining clean laboratory areas
  • Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
  • Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
  • Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
  • Comply with Quality Assurance Program and other policies
  • Comply with Health and Safety Plan
  • Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director
Your Expertise and Skills
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred
  • Understanding of physical and chemical principles underlying why procedures are specified the way they were for each method with which they work
  • Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs
  • Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement; ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to write correspondence and reports
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment, standing for long periods of time, etc.

  • Sitting, standing, and walking
  • Lifting 50 pounds several times a day
