Job summary

Onterris in Denver, CO seeks a Full-Time Analyst to join our lab team. You will prep, handle, and analyze samples, maintain accurate records, and support on-time results in a quality-driven environment.

You will mentor Lab Technicians and Analysts, adapt to a flexible schedule, and contribute to safe, compliant laboratory operations while advancing your scientific expertise at a leading environmental solutions company.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in science.
  • 2+ years of GC-MS experience in an environmental lab.
  • Attention to detail; able to handle multiple tasks and work both independently and in a team.
  • Proficiency with analytical equipment including balances, pipettes, glassware.
  • Experience with GC-MS analysis, preferably Agilent Chemstation/MassHunter.
  • Experience with Varian Archon Purge and Trap Autosamplers and/or Xylem/OI Analytical Sample Concentrators.
  • Knowledge of analytical methods, lab safety and QA/QC processes.
  • Flexible schedule including Saturday; overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze solvent extracts for semi-volatile organic pollutants by GC-MS analysis.
  • Review data and assemble reports.
  • Calibrate, maintain and repair instrument.
  • Prepare standards; maintain reagents and supplies inventory.
  • Keep workstation clean and organized.
  • Mentor Lab Technicians and Analyst I’s.
  • Performs analyst's review of data and QC per QA/QC criteria.
  • Adheres to SOPs and safe work practices; participates in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Be flexible in work schedule; participate in focus teams to improve efficiency.

You'll play a key role in prepping, handling, analyzing samples, keeping records accurate, and maintaining a clean laboratory to support on-time results everyday.
