Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking an Employee/Labor Relations Manager to lead day-to-day HR labor relations activities at our Joliet campus. You will guide policy interpretation, investigate employee matters, and support management on performance, pay practices, and contracts.

The role emphasizes coaching managers, ensuring compliant handling of grievances, and maintaining all necessary correspondence. A bachelor’s degree in HR and 3–5 years in labor relations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field preferred.
• Three to five years of experience at a management or senior administrative level with emphasis on employee/labor relations.
• Experience coaching and influencing managers and senior executives.
• Knowledge of FLSA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, OSHA, CAL/OSHA and other HR related regulations.
• Must have strong communication and intrapersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Employee/Labor relations functions and provide day-to-day leadership to employees and management.
• Provide coaching to managers on resolution of sensitive employee situations, including performance improvement, disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Conduct employee investigations and assist with employee grievances; maintain correspondence with employees.
