Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Labor Relations Manager/HR Manager to lead labor relations, employee relations, and strategic HR initiatives. The role focuses on union relations, contract administration, and compliance across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HR with strong negotiation and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of collective bargaining and labor law. This is a senior-level position driving workforce strategies and engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience with labor relations and union environments.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience with collective bargaining, grievance processes, and labor contract administration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS, reporting, and workforce analytics.
• Certification from SHRM or related professional organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to support HR functions, focusing on labor relations and people strategy aligned to business objectives.
• Serve as primary contact for union relations, including contract administration, grievance handling, and dispute resolution.
• Advise senior management on employee relations matters, labor compliance, performance management, and workforce planning.
• Lead or support collective bargaining negotiations, including preparation, strategy development, and execution.
• Coach and support HR team members and leaders on labor relations best practices and employee engagement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as collective bargaining agreements.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to proactively address workforce concerns and enhance employee relations.
• Analyze trends, metrics, and labor data to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
