Job summary

Permanent Placements LLC is seeking a mid-level Labor & Employment Associate to join our Los Angeles office. This role targets attorneys with at least four years of employment litigation experience who will handle sophisticated, high-profile matters for a diverse client base and contribute to the growth of the firm's California Labor & Employment practice.

The successful candidate will manage cases through all phases of litigation, collaborate with colleagues, and play a role in business

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California Bar in good standing.
• Minimum 4 years of employment litigation experience.
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters through all stages of the dispute process.
• Strong project and case management skills.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy abilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience handling multiple matters in a fast-paced practice environment.
• Deposition experience preferred.
• Courtroom experience preferred.
• Outstanding academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters.
• Independently manage cases from inception through resolution.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including case assessment and strategy, pleadings and motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation.
• Manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work product.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients on complex employment-related disputes.
• Develop litigation strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to clients.
• Contribute to business and practice development initiatives as appropriate.
