Jobot is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel (Advice & Counsel Focus) for a hybrid remote role in Washington, DC. You will provide day-to-day guidance to government contractors and commercial clients on EEO, wage and hour, and workplace risk, with a focus on counseling rather than litigation.

The ideal candidate has a DC Bar admission, 4+ years L&E experience in a law firm or equivalent environment, and a track record advising on EEO compliance and workplace policy.

Qualifications

• Requires DC Bar admission.
• 4+ years L&E experience.
• Prior law firm background is preferred, government contractor experience a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day advice and counsel to government contractor and commercial clients on labor and employment matters.
• Advise on EEO compliance, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation risk.
• Guide clients through hiring, termination, discipline, and payroll decisions before issues escalated.
• Counsel on workplace policy, wage and hour compliance, and contract enforcement strategy.
• Partner directly with clients and firm attorneys as a trusted advisor on employment risk.
• Minimal litigation exposure — this seat is built for someone who wants to counsel, not litigate.
